Miss Charlotte began dancing at the age of 2 and fell in love with dance so much that she became a competitive dancer when she was only 5 years old. Miss Charlotte has been a dance teacher at Moving Pictures Dance since 2022. She has intensive training in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary, Latin Jazz, Street Jazz, Hip Hop, and Acro. Miss Charlotte has danced and trained in many different provinces including Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Newfoundland and Labrador. She has trained in and completed exams in the RAD Ballet syllabus, the ADAPT Syllabus for Tap and Jazz, as well as the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus for Acro. She has also gained valuable training and experience by taking workshops from esteemed dance instructors both online and in person.

Miss Charlotte has extensive experience working with children and loves teaching our littlest students. She gained experience with children working at the Johnson Geo Centre; giving science talks, running birthday parties and helping with Camp Geo. She gained experience with running holiday dance parties in Alberta. She assisted dance classes since 2018 before running classes of her own.

Miss Charlotte has had a successful experience as a competition dancer. Miss Charlotte has won many special awards for her solos and duets, including “Most Outstanding”, “Broadway Bound”, “Storyteller”, “So Entertaining”, “React”“DanceQuest Ultimate Gold” and “Third Overall” for her student choreographed Tap solo. She was also invited to perform her solo in the Odyssey finals at DanceQuest, where only 29 out of 909 entries were selected to perform. Miss Charlotte has regularly been the top scorer for Moving Pictures Dance at many of our competitions.

Miss Charlotte has won Scholarships in her Dance Career. She was awarded the Every Element Award Dance Scholarship in Alberta, which was presented to a dancer exemplifying sportsmanship, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, commitment, and dedication. During the 2023/2024 competition season, she was awarded a scholarship for Lightning Elite, providing the opportunity to perform at a Disney park in the summer of 2025, concluding a week of training with a performance in Disneyland. Miss Charlotte cannot wait to train with top industry professionals in Disneyland and bring the knowledge she will learn home to her students.

Miss Charlotte is thrilled to teach some of our littlest dancers this year!
